Although our shoes are put together by hand, we normally don't manipulate the surface of the shoe outside of its natural state. Ever challenging our norm, we started to look at what the hand could make and what the machine could not. The dark and broody winter collection was inspired by a piece of charred wood found oddly outside our shop in Marylebone. Each heel was hand torched by Tracey herself. Likewise in summer, the trompe l'oeil painted toe and heels were all individually brushed and each macrame knot tied by fingers. It is nice to know that some things can still be achieved by the hand alone.
